An Interview with Diana Canant

VV: How long have you been a TIR trainer?

Diana: For about three-and-a-half years.

VV: What inspired you to become a TIR trainer?

Diana: I very much want people who are called to help people to learn this very effective way of addressing stress and trauma. Effective help is a rare commodity and there is no point in keeping this one to ourselves. I feel very strongly about getting it out there to those who need and want effective tools to alleviate suffering and improve the human condition.

VV: What do you find rewarding about it?

Diana: The fact that it works.

VV: Are you willing to travel to deliver training, if so under what conditions?

Diana: Yes, I am willing to travel to deliver training. I am willing to consider all requests on an individual basis as to costs, etc.

VV: Do you have a private practice?

Diana: Yes, I do. I do Life Stress Reduction, Traumatic Incident Reduction, Elder Life Review, and Conflict Resolution.

VV: Besides TIR, what other things are you interested in?

Diana: I am very interested in the materials of the Arbinger Institute and I use their work and the principles of TIR to do conflict resolution. A very fundamental interest of mine is the acquisition of human potential. For fun I like to spend time with my family and friends, watch movies, eat and travel.

VV: Describe your professional background?

Diana: I have been a facilitator and done related work for more than 30 years. I also have many years of experience as a corporate trainer doing job training, trainer training, cultural orientation and accent reduction services.

VV: What other courses are you currently teaching?

Diana: Communication Skills Workshops
