Nancy: Since 1996 Nancy: Having been a Certified TIR and Metapsychology Facilitator for several years, it was the logical next step in providing Metapsychology services in Kansas City and elsewhere. Nancy: Being an active TIR trainer gives me an opportunity to interact with the Kansas City mental health community and others doing related work. It also is a strategic move in making TIR and Metapsychology facilitation more available in Kansas City and the surrounding states. Nancy: Absolutely! I have a predictable quarterly schedule of trainings in Kansas City which allows me to include out-of-town workshops in my schedule whenever I receive a request. Nancy: Yes. In addition to facilitating viewing sessions and presenting professional skills workshops, I also supervise post-workshop internships for practitioners who want to become confident and competent with their newly acquired skills as quickly as possible and/or who want help with their TIR facilitator certification application. Nancy: My main focus in life is my work and my family. I really enjoy my interactions with the people I meet through my work as a facilitator and as a trainer. Other personal interests include maintaining a backyard wildlife habitat, exercise and a healthy diet. Nancy:I have been studying with Frank Gerbode, M.D., the main developer of TIR, since 1991. In addition to being a Certified Facilitator and Trainer for TIR and Metapsychology (Applied Metapsychology International), I am also a Certified Trauma Specialist with the Association of Traumatic Stress Specialists (ATSS) and a Certified Traumatologist with the Academy of Traumatology. I am happy to make my complete resume available upon request. Nancy: I currently teach the basic TIR Workshop, the TIR Expanded Applications Workshop, the Case Planning for TIR & Life Stress Reduction Workshop, as well as a variety of 1-day introductory workshops on effective communication and emotional first aid. I will also be teaching all the Metapsychology Curriculum Workshops as they are developed Updated: 12/11/2005 |
