Brian: 31 wonderful years as of 2006. Brian: It has been a combination of several things. I found that first hand experience with the effectiveness of TIR in eliminating the effects of early childhood traumas I experienced personally to be very inspiring. Having the good fortune of being able to learn and use TIR professionally with consistently good results, I saw great value in contributing to the effort of making TIR broadly available to other clinicians so that they might also enjoy similar successes. This has been my most consistently rewarding experience and continues to generate significant inspiration personally. Brian: The enthusiasm of the participants, which seemingly goes exponential as we progress through the training, and the students begin to realize the scope of what TIR makes possible for them directly as helping professionals, as well as indirectly for their clients. It's an honor, and an incredible delight to witness and be a part of! Brian: Yes, I am. I have traveled within the US, Canada, and the UK to provide training and work one-on-one with clients in private practice. I would willingly do the same to offer this valuable service & training to other professionals interested in learning TIR and Metapsychology techniques. Brian: I do. I see a limited number of clients as my training schedule permits. Brian: My greatest interest is seeking out new and interesting information in both the fields of education and psychology, to expand my knowledge base and the techniques with which to help others. I am always seeking the counsel and expertise of other professionals, and I've been richly rewarded in having my path cross with some truly gifted and insightful people. I enjoy reading, and writing whenever possible. I enjoy the outdoors (hiking, mountain biking, surfing, tennis, and football.) Brian: I have been involved with TIR and Metapsychology since 1985, both as a facilitator and trainer. For several years I enjoyed a very successful private practice in San Diego, California before joining Dr. Gerbode and Gerald French in the San Francisco Bay area where the Institute of Applied Metapsychology was established and later became known to us all as the Applied Metapsychology International (AMI). Over the years I have worked with organizations like the American Red Cross, the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), the US Navy, and most recently with the RCMP Victim Services detachment in Squamish, BC. In 2001, I relocated to British Columbia, Canada and am now focused on the introduction and delivery of TIR & Metapsychology training primarily in the lower mainland of BC in addition to my private practice. Brian: I teach the TIR workshop (TIR-W), Case Planning for TIR & Life Stress Reduction (CP-LSR), TIR Expanded Applications (TIR-EA), Exploration and Enhance Rapport (E & ER), Schema Workshop (SW), as well as the other sections of the Metapsychology curriculum. I also conduct 2-day continuing Technical Direction workshops (TD-1 and TD-2) to offer ongoing support to clinicians as they build on their skills set once they have completed TIR-W and CP-LSR workshops. TD-2 is scheduled quarterly, while clinicians are offered the assurance of ongoing Technical Direction services. |
